WRIGHT’S ACCIDENT REPAIR CENTRES EXPAND TO FIVE

The family business of Wright’s Accident Repair Centres Ltd has announced the recent completion of a deal to purchase the Charles Hurst Accident Repair Centre in Derriaghy Industrial Estate as a going concern.
Hurst’s disposal of the bodyshop business has come about as a result of the recent takeover of the Hurst parent company Lookers group by Canadian Alpha Auto Group in a £465m deal by the privately-owned Ontario-based car dealership chain.
Wright’s acquisition adds a new area in the west of Belfast city to their well-known centres in Mallusk, Dundonald, Carryduff and Dromore, Co Down, where they specialise in accident damage repair and have established a solid reputation in Northern Ireland with the major insurance companies.
Built up over fifty years by Donald and Jenny Wright, who began bodywork repairs in a small shed in Dromore, County Down, Wrights now trade from flagship premises on the outskirts of Dromore, as well as the four in Belfast.
‘This opportunity came along at an ideal time as we have been looking at new areas for expansion,’ said Donald, ‘and this one suited both parties ideally.’
Their sons Richard and Mark are now involved in managing the multi-million pound car repair business, together with group manager Dougie Spiers.
Richard added, ‘We are pleased to retain the staff in Derriaghy but are always looking for keen and enthusiastic people in all our departments, and we can also offer apprenticeships. If you are interested in working in a dynamic well-equipped, expanding motor business then please make contact with us.’
The new Derriaghy business also includes a variety of vehicle wrapping services, for cars, commercial vehicles, and motorcycles, with a range of vinyl products and it’s own in-house studio to help create individual designs.
