Serfac expands with move to new Tallaght warehouse

Irish-owned parts distributor Serfac Limited has recently moved to new state-of-the art premises in Tallaght, Dublin 24, with over 7,000 sq metres (75,000 sq feet) of warehouse and office space.
“Our business has grown significantly over recent years and we’re forecasting addition growth in sales volume into the future, so when a suitable premises became available nearby, it made sense to move”, said Gillian Fanning of Serfac.
Located approximately 300 metres from Serfac Limited’s previous primary warehouse on Belgard Road, Tallaght, the new building is ideally situated, given its proximity to access routes such as the M50 and the N7. The location also means that all Serfac’s staff were able move to the new premises, a critical factor due to their combined experience and specialist parts knowledge retention.
“We have consolidated our 3 existing warehouses, said Gillian. “Operating from three different warehouses has been a challenge logistically and we expect the new warehouse to deliver greater efficiencies and more capability to support the future requirements of our business. The new warehouse is designed and optimized for greater efficiencies in picking, packing and shipping, meaning an even better service to our customers.
“We’re expanding our current product range to include both range extensions and new product groups, meaning increased stock availability and an enhanced choice of products and brands for our customers.
“Serfac is committed to sustainability and the move will also reduce our carbon footprint, making us more sustainable via the installation of highly energy-efficient heating, ventilation and lighting systems. We look forward to welcoming our customers to our new home over coming months.”
